Choice B: Tell how the following characters respond to the jury's verdict: Jem, Aunt Alexandra, Dill, Miss Maudie, Bob Ewell.
Chapters 18-23
The jury's verdict was that Tom Robinson was guilty. Now weather the jury didn't wan't to vote for a black man or they believed Mayella Ewell is unsaid. But the reactions of the following people is like this...
JEM
He realized that it was unfair, but unlike scout, he didn't start to cry until they got home. He realized that Tom was innocent, and he was mad at the jury for being cowards and not defending him.
AUNT ALEXANDRA
She talked about it with her missionary group and said that she would have voted for Tom if she was in the jury.
DILL
He cried uncontrolably and was sad for Tom and his wife's sake.
MRS. MAUDEY
She was one of the only people in town who didn't go to the court house to watch what was happening. She was also at Aunt Alexandras missionary group and said she didn't think that it was their place to say what should or shounldn't have happened.
BOB EWELL
I'd emagine Mr. Ewell doing victory laps around the court room, but that would show that he wasn't tewlling the truth and had something to hide.
